Today I have my daughter Aimee's birthday invitation to share with you. She is turning 6 this year and decided to have a Tangled themed birthday party. I found an image online that would work for the invitation, sized it just right, and printed it out on Whisper White card stock. Then I simply layered it on Perfect Plum and Not Quite Navy card stock. I stamped the You're Invited image, from the Inviting stamp set, on the bottom with Perfect Plum ink. And that was it! Super easy!

February Technique Class
Hi everyone! Today I have the projects from my February Technique Class to share with you. I had my class the day before Valentine's day, so our projects were all Valentine themed!
First, we did this card using the inset embossing technique. This technique was definitely a hit this month! Everyone loved how simple it was, yet what an impact it makes!
Next we did this card. I have posted this card before. It is one I had done by using the brayering technique. I had this card on display at my January class and everyone loved it so much that they asked to make it! So, we did!
Next we made these cute heart pouches out of the petal cone die. If you leave the die cut flat after cutting it out it is heart shaped. I tucked some tissue paper inside this one to show how you can make a little gift out of it. I made a few extra of these and filled them with Valentine candy for my valentine's (see previous post).
And lastly we made this card, which I call my "secret love message card". This is actually just a card base (does not open up - someone at class called it a postcard). We cut out the little scallop envelopes out of vellum and then embossed them to dress them up. Then we made the little love note to tuck inside!

Next, here are the tags I made for the girls that tied on their gift bags.
And last, but not least, here are my girls enjoying their goodies!

XOXO
Here is another Valentine using the Love Impressions Rub-Ons! I CASEd this design from something I saw on Stampin' Connection. Oh, and did you see the RED rhinestones on this card? All I did to create these was color Stampin' Up!s Basic Rhinestones with the red Sharpie! How easy is that? You can make your rhinestones any color you want by simply coloring over the top of them with a permanent marker! Unforturnatly the Stampin' Write Markers don't work for this technique since they are waterbased. Another fun thing on this card? The red Glimmer Paper! This is new in the Occasions Mini catalog and I LOVE IT! I sure hope Stampin's Up! releases more of this paper in the future in all different colors!
Ingredients
- Love Impressions Rub-Ons
- Whisper White, Basic Black, and Basic Grey card stock
- Love Patterns Designer Series Paper
- Red Glimmer Paper
- Basic Rhinestones
- Red Sharpie
- Corner Rounder punch
- Heart to Heart punch
- 1-3/4" Circle punch
- 2-3/8" Scallop Circle punch
- Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder
- Big Shot
- Stampin' Dimensionals
