Hi everyone! Today I have the cards from my July Technique class to share with you. First, we did the Corner Bookmark card. We used the Simply Scored tool with the Diagonal Plate to score perfect lines for the bookmark piece. Here is a pic of the card put together.
The corner piece comes off and can be used as a bookmark! So clever! :)
For this next card, we used the Masking Technique. This allowed us to layer the images on the base piece so that the Gumball Green swirl does not show through on the Island Indigo label.
Next we did this card using the Paper Buttons technique. See that button on the card? It is actually made out of card stock! This technique was a big hit. To make a paper button, all you do is punch out 5 pieces of card stock in the same shape. Glue them all together with a glue pen, punch hole with your Crop-o-dile, cover with Crystal Effects, and allow to dry! Super simple! The trick to this is to lie your button on a piece of wax paper and then apply the Crystal Effects. Once the Crystal effects dries it will pop right off the wax paper!
Here is a close-up of the button.
And last, but not least, we did this card using the Ghosting Technique on the background. I know the background looks green-ish in this photo, but it is really Summer Starfruit. Glossy paper is fun to use, but hard to photograph! :)
