Cards from July Demonstrator Swap

Hi everyone! Today I have the cards from our July Demonstrator swap to share with you. The challenge this month was to create a card, scrapbook page, or 3D Project using products from the new catalog and your favorite technique. First here is my card. I CASEd something I saw on Mary Fish's blog. My technique is paper piecing.

Next, here is Melinda's card. Her card features dry embossing using one of the new embossing folders.

And last, but not least, here is Lenore's card. She created this using My Digital Studio and her technique is digital crafting.

Pac Man!

Today I have another punch art card to share with you. This one was made for the son of a friend. I saw a card like this at convention and knew I had to make it to coordinate with his gift (see picture below). :)

Dino-mite!

Hi everyone! Today I wanted to share with you this Dyno-Mite card I made for my girls' cousin. He had a dinosaur themed birthday party this past weekend, so I figured I should make him a card to go along with the theme. Since I don't have any dinosaur stamps I decided to make a punch art dinosaur instead! I got the idea from something I found online. I really like how he turned out!

I even made a punch art pterodactyl for the inside.

Backpack Tag

Today was my daughter Aimee's first day of 1st Grade. Last night I whipped up with backpack tag for her to clip on her brand new backpack for school. I created the kitty image and her name using My Digital Studio and then printed it out on Whisper White card stock. Then I punched out the image using my 2-1/2" circle punch. Next I covered the front and back of a piece on of On-board Chipboard with Concord Crush card stock using my anywhere glue stick. I then ran the chipboard through my Big Shot using the 3" circle die. I adhered the kitty piece the chipboard piece, added a sticker on the back with her name and contact information in case her backpack gets lost, added a coordinating purple binder clip, and tied on a piece of Concord Crush ribbon.

Here are some pictures of the tag on her backpack. As you can see, the backpack was the inspiration for the tag! :) I really liked how this turned out and it was super easy to do! I love My Digital Studio for super quick, easy projects!

August Technique Class

Hi everyone. Today I wanted to share with you the cards we did at my August Technique Class. First we did this card using the Postage Stamp punch. Notice how there are two different sizes of postage punches here? Well that was our technique for this card. To create the smaller postage stamp, we simply reinserted the punched piece of card stock and snipped off a piece from 2 of the sides. Also, notice the flag style tail on the piece of Baja Breeze Designer Paper? That was made with the postage stamp punch as well? We just used it to snip our the triangle shape!

Next we did this card. Notice the fancy corners on this one? We did this by using the Decorative Label punch and inserting the corner of the card stock through the underside of the punch and only punching out the decorative shape.

Next we did this Telescoping card. I CASEd this from another demonstrator. This card was a big hit this month! To make this one we simply cut / punched out various sized of circles, stamped them, then attached them together with brads!

And last but not least, we did this card. This card is a CASE from my Up-Upline Julie (she always has the best ideas!). Notice the yellow pearls on the buttons? Well that was the technique for this card. We simply colored the white pearls with a yellow Sharpie! This is a super simple technique! All you need is any permanent marker and you can make your pearls any color you want! (Unfortunately Stampin' Write Markers don't work for this technique since they are water based and the color will just wipe off the pearls.)

Decor Elements Chalkboards

I really love Stampin' Up!s Decor Elements. I haven't used them as much as I should. I had these two chalkboard Decor Elements for a while now, and never put them up. So I decided it was time. They are so easy to apply it took all of 5 minutes. Don't know what took me so long! Anyway, this first one is one that I got free during this years Saleabration promotion. I applied this one of the inside doors of my Hobby Hideaway (my crafting armoire).

This next one is actually 2 different Decor Elements. I first cut out a piece of the plain Decor Elements chalkboard sheets the same size as my To Do list. I applied that to the inside of the other door of my cabinet. Next I simply applied the To Do List Decor Element on top.

Now I just need to get some chalk! :)
