First Day of School

Today was the first day of school for my little ones.  My oldest is in 3rd grade this year and my youngest is starting kindergarten.  I wanted to do something special for their first day of school pictures this year, and the MDS First Day printable that was released this past Tuesday was perfect for this.  I whipped these two signs up in no time using My Digital Studio.  Super simple - just download, install, insert the grade, add the teacher's name, print and done!  Love it!

Here are the girls with their signs before we left for school!

Special Delivery

Hi everyone.  Today I wanted to share another card that I sent for Aimee to get at summer camp.  The camp lets parents drop off cards/letters during camp check in and they deliver them during their stay.  This is the card I sent for her to receive yesterday.

I Miss You Already

Hi everyone.  Well this week I sent my daughter off to Girl Scout summer camp.  She will be gone for 4 days.  I made this card for her and tucked in into her bag so that she would find it when she started unpacking.

I stamped the envelope for her as well to make it look like real mail.  :)

And here is a picture of my girl all ready to leave for camp!

Happy Graduation

Hi everyone.  My youngest daughter Allison recently graduated preschool.  Today I wanted to share with you the cards and goodies I made for her.  First, here is her card.

She loves getting her own special cards.  :)

Next, I used an empty embellishment container to make a little graduation cap gift box.

Allison recently got her ears pierced, so inside were a pair of new earrings (little sparkly turtles, one of her favorite animals).

And lastly, I made her this button, which I pinned on her after the ceremony.

 Here's my little graduate!

Happy Birthday Allison!

Hi everyone!  Today I have the card that I made for my daughter Allison's 4th birthday to share with you!  She had a Minnie Mouse birthday party this year.  You can check out the invitations that I made for her party here.  To coordinate with the invitations, here is her card:

And of course I had to add these cute little mouse ears to the inside:

And last, but definitely no least, here is my little mouse all ready for her Minnie party!

My Little Stamper

Today I have some proud mommy pictures to share with you. What mom isn't proud when her little one learns something new? Well, I have to say I was very proud when my little one learned to stamp. :) My older daugher has been stamping for years and is a expert (at least as big an expert as an almost 5 year old can be). When I was working on my Valentines projects a couple weekends ago, I knew that I need to make a card for my younger daugher (17 months) to give to daddy. At first I thought I would just make another card and give it him from her. Then I saw the cute card my older daughter made him all by herself and though it would be more special if Allison made him a card herself as well. So I let her stick some heart stickers on a piece of card stock then I got out her name stamp (the Love Bots personalized one) and showed her how to ink it up then stamp it on the paper. She picked it up in no time and was stamping away! I quickly grabbed my camera and took a few shots of my new little stamper. :) The pics aren't that great because she was sitting on my lap and there wasn't much room, but here you go!

Allison's Birthday Party

Today I wanted to share with you all the goodies I made for Allison's first birthday party. First of all, let me show you the inspiration for her party theme. This is "Baby Ellie". Allison's most prized possession. Since she loves this thing to death, I decided to throw her a "Baby Ellie" birthday party. :) (Click here to see her party invite and here to see some more birthday cards I made for her.)

So, I used Chocolate Chip and Pink Pirouette colors (retired In Color) to make all the decorations for the party. This is a banner I made using my Big Shot and Cricut to cut out the shapes and letters. I used card stock as well as the patterns designer paper.

Here are some baby elephants I that I cut out with my Cricut and hung up with the streamers as a decoration.

Here are the party favors. I used the Fancy Favor die (thanks Kim!).

I filled small cello bags with pink, brown and white M&Ms and printed out tags to tie them off with.

I also made a matching scrapbook page that I put out for everyone to sign.

Some people left without signing (you know who you are!), so the next time I see you I'm going to ask you to sign it! :) This will go in Allison's scrapbook and I plan to make a matching page where I will put her picture.

Next, here is the card I made her to go with her gift. This is a stair step card and I think it turned out really cute.

And last but not least, here is my birthday girl! I made more baby elephants to decorate her highchair with. I found the hat at the party store. It only had pink and white polka dots, but I wanted pink and brown. So, all I did was punch out some circles out of Chocolate Chip card stock with my circle punches and stuck them over the white polka dots! Easy fix! Also, check out the matching bib! I didn't make this, but was so happy to find this!

And here is another picture of the birthday girl. Check out the matching dress! No, I didn't make this either. This was an awesome find that fit the party theme perfectly!

So that was the "Baby Ellie" party. We had a lot of fun and everyone had a great time!
