More Christmas Projects

Hi everyone! I have a couple more Christmas projects to share with you! First, here is the Candy Countdown Calendar Kit I put together for my girls to countdown to Christmas. This kit comes with everything you need to make an awesome advent calendar. I know it is too late for this year, but you get one of these now and put it together for next year! You need to place your order by January 3rd though, before the Holiday Mini catalog ends!

Next, here is another quick project I put together. I bought this vase and decorated it using the Christmas tree Decor Element from the Candy Cane Christmas set. Then I filled it with decorative red and green ornaments. Super easy and super cute! These Decor Elements are also in the Holiday Mini Catalog, so this is also you last chance to get these!

Christmas Candles

I made some last minute Christmas decorations the other day. First, I made these stamped candles. These were super easy. I then added some striped grosgrain ribbon to spiff them up!

Next I took a set of smaller votive candles and used my Candy Cane Christmas rub-ons to make these cuties! Yes, rub-ons work on candles! How easy is that?

Season's Greetings and Piece on Earth

Merry Christmas Eve!! This morning I have a few Christmas cards to share with you. I made several of these first two to send to family and friends this year.

For this first one, I used the Welcome Christmas stamp set. This is probably my favorite Christmas set this year.

Next I made this card, which I cased from my up-upline Julie. The white on white was kind of hard to photograph, but in person this card looks very elegant. The saying is embossed with silver embossing powder and yes, those are rhinestones across the bottom. :)

I only made one of this next card. I saw someone post a similar thing on Stampin' Connection, so I had to make one myself. I used the Joyful Season Letter Press Plate with Garden Green and Real Red craft ink on a wood sheet. Yes, you can use the Letter Press plates on wood sheets! Wow awesome is that? I love how this turned out! I will definitely be doing this technique again!

Another Merry Christmas Sound Card

Hi again! Here is the other Stampin' Sound card I made this year. This one went to my mother-in-law. I CASEd the layout of the card from Kimbery Van Diepen. I also had my daughter record the inside message.

Here is the inside of the card.

Merry Christmas Sound Card

Have you seen the Stampin' Sound Cards from the Holiday Mini catalog? These are super cool and perfect for recording messages from the kids! This is the card I made for my parents for Christmas this year. I had my daughter record a Merry Christmas message to them inside. Recording messages is really easy too. The hard part is just getting the kids to say the right thing at the right time!

For the inside, I placed a piece of card stock over the card base to hide the speaker, record button, etc. However, I needed a way to let my parents know what they are supposed to do with this card, so I punched out a heart, wrote "Push" on it and placed it over the Play button. So when you push the heart, the message plays!

If you haven't had a chance to order some of Stampin' Sound cards yet, never fear! These will still be available after the Holiday Mini ends and will be appearing the upcoming Occasions Mini catalog. You can use these to make Valentines! How cute will that be?

Candy Cane Christmas Ornament

At my last Daisy meeting I also had the girls made this cute Christmas tree shaped Christmas ornament. For this we took a cinnamon stick and tied pieces of the Candy Cane Designer fabric, Real Red satin ribbon, and tinsil around it. We topped if off with a coordinating button. The problem? Not all of the girls now how to tie knots yet. The other problem? My parent helper bailed on me at the last minute, so I was scrambing trying to help the girls tie their knots. Luckily another mom showed up just in the nick of time and was able to assist with the girls that needed help tying. So, lessoned learned, make sure all girls can tie knots by themselves before planning a project that requires trying several knots! :) The good news is that the girls still had fun and were excited to go home and hang their ornaments on their trees!

Teacher Gift

Last Friday was my daughter's last day of school before Christmas. I wanted to send a homemade gift with her to school for her to give to her teacher. I decided to make another Mini Lunch Sack gift bag. Inside this gift bag, was a teacher ornament, some Christmas Post-It notes, and of course Chocolate! I also used the gift card holder that I made at my November Technique class and put a Starbucks gift card inside it for her.

Daisy Christmas Gifts

Last week I held the last meeting for my Daisy troop before Christmas. I wanted to give the girls a little something for Christmas so I made up these little gift bags and filled them with goodies! These were super easy to make too. I simply decorated the Mini Lunch Sacks from the Holiday Mini Catalog, filled them with goodies, and them tied them off with some Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding!

Here is a close up of one of the bags:

At the meeting, I put all the bags in my new Christmas bucket (see yesterday's post). The girls immediately went to the bucket and started looking for their names! I made them wait until the end of the meeting to take their bags though! ;)

November Technique Class

OK - so I just realized that I never posted the cards from my November Technique class! Sorry about that! So, without further ado, there they are!

First, we made this gift card holder. I CASEd this from Heather Summers. I love the vintage feel of this.

And the best part? the gift card pops up when you open it!

Next we made this Thanksgiving card using the Rock and Roll technique.

The next project is actually two techniques. First we made this slider box. (Thanks to my up-upline Julie for the instructions on how to make this!)

Inside are 3 tea light candles that we stamped on.

Hope you enjoyed these (even if they are late!).

Decor Elements Bucket

Here is another quick project I did using some more of the Decor Elements from the Candy Cane Christmas set. I found this super cute green bucket at the Target Dollar Spot as well. For this project I simply applied the candy cane images I was done! So easy!

Decor Elements Christmas Plate

Hi everyone! Today I have a super quick project that did with some of the Candy Cane Christmas Decor Elements. I found this cute tray at the Target Dollar Spot a while back. It was definitely too plan by itself, so I rubbed on these Decor Elements and Viola! instant Christmas tray! Love it!

Also, just and FYI - I have so many Christmas projects left to post, that I will be posting twice a day over the next couple of days (once in the morning and once in the evening) so be sure to check back often!

December Technique Class

Today I have the projects from my December Technique class to share with you. This class was all about Christmas and first up we made this awesome snow globe card. Yes, that is real water inside the snow globe. And - even though it is hard to see in the picture - there is some Dazzling Diamond glitter inside so you can shake the card and make it "snow" just like a real snow globe!

Next, we made this card using the Reflection technique. I CASEd this design from something I saw on Stampin' Connection. I have to say that this is one of my new favorite techniques. So super easy, but looks really complicated! ;) There is also Dazzling Diamonds on the trees on this card, but you can tell from the picture. What is it with Dazzling Diamonds not photographing?

Next up we made this adorable penguin card. I love how easily you can create a penguin using the Owl punch! This card is a CASE as well. This time from my up-upline Julie.

And last but not least, we made this little Christmas treat using the Candy Wrapper die for the Big Shot. We tucked a little Twix bar inside.
