Convention: Village of Cuteness

Hi everyone. Today I wanted to share with you more goodies from Convention. Today's post is about the +Fun class I took. This was an optional class what we could sign up for (there were several different choices). I choose the Village of Cuteness. When we arrived at the class, we were given this super cute bag with all our supplies in it:

Inside the bag was everything we needed to make our Village, which consisted of 3 wooden houses:

We painted, stamped, punched, and embellished to complete our houses. Here are some close up shots of each of the completed houses.

And get this, included in our bag was all this stuff, which we of course got to keep! 2 stamp sets, a package of rhinestones, a package of glue dots, a package of Stampin' Dimensionals, a package of bakers twine, a package of sticky strip, and a tube of glue!

This was a lot of fun and I hope they offer similar classes again next year!

Stampin' Up! Fabric Watch Bands

Today I wanted to share with you one of the projects I created to take with me to Convention this year. A couple of years ago, at Memento Mall, Stampin' Up! had a watch with interchangeable bands made out of Stampin' Up! ribbon. Since the ribbon used for the watch has since retired, I wanted to update my watch with some of the current stuff. I decided to use the SU! fabric to create some new watch bands! Check them out:

I used the Springtime Vintage, Candy Cane Christmas, and Flirtatious fabric for these.

Super cute, don't you think? :)

June Demonstrator Swap

Hi everyone. I wanted to take a break from the Convention posts to share some cards with you today. These are the cards from our June demonstrator swap. The challenge was to make a card or project using products from the new catalog preorder (demo's were able to preorder certain products in June) and extra points for using the new In Colors. Convention: Free Stuff!

Hi everyone! I am back with another Convention post! Today I wanted to share with you all the FREE stuff I got this year. I got all of this JUST FOR SHOWING UP! :) And I didn't even earn any awards or win any of the giveaways. The folks that did that went home with even more free stuff! Another great reason to be a demonstrator!

First, this is our Convention bag this year. It is a Demonstrator Business bag with special embroidery for Convention.

The front pocket opens up and there are lots of pockets and pouches to store supplies on the go.

As is true every year, our Convention bag was stocked with lots of goodies. Every year we always get a copy of the new catalog in our bag. However, this year they stepped it up a notch. First we got this - a beautiful binder:

The binder came with an unbound catalog and section dividers.

Each section divider has a pocket on the front. Perfect for holding the latest Mini Catalog! Oh and that is another thing we all got - a package of 8 Holiday Mini Catalogs!

Next we got 4 stamp sets in our bag - It's Your Day, Raining Flowers, Easy Events, and Best Friends Forever.

There was another bonus this year - another free Demonstrator Exclusive stamp set. All we had to do to get this was attend all the classes we signed up for!

SU! Did two giveaways to everyone during Convention. First we all got the Great Day Simply Sent kit. It is the kit that coordinates with the It's Your Day stamp set that we got.

At the end we also got this - the new Hostess set from the Holiday Mini (sorry I can't show it to you until after the Mini is released next month!), and the Noteworthy My Digital Studio content disc., which is also a Hostess only item from the new Idea Book & Catalog! This disc contains 12 digital Designer Series Papers, 25 digital embellishments, on 36-piece alphabet and numbers stamp brush set, and 2 additional stamp brush sets (a 7-piece and a 9-piece).

you can see, I had a lot of stuff to bring home that didn't come with! It would not all fit into my suitcase so I had to buy a box to put it all it and check it on the plane! Thank goodness Southwest allows 2 checked bags for free! :)

Convention: Last Day

The last day of convention is always bittersweet. You don't want the fun to end, but you are also ready to go home. This year was no different. While I was ready to go home and see my family, I was also sad to leave all my convention buddies! Here is a picture of us taken on the last day before the general session started.

And here is a picture of me and Lenore. My friend and downline. She was my very first recruit after I joined Stampin' Up! over 3 years ago!

There was another surprise for us announced as well. Another demonstrator exclusive product we could get at Memento Mall. It was a bag made out of the new fall fabric from the Holiday Mini Catalog called Spice Cake. This bag is special because it was made to hold Stampin' Up!s brand new Simply Scored Scoring Tool! Yep, that's right, SU! will be releasing the exclusively-designed scoring tool in the Holiday Mini. I can't show a picture of it yet, but think Scor-Pal, but 100 times better! :)
